Dynamic Light Scattering
- For the characterization of polymeric and colloidal systems different machines of the ALV Langen GmbH are in use.
- For more advanced problems we use a 3D-DLS from LS Instruments with a modulation unit to be able to measure without multiple scattering
Static Light Scattering
For the measurement of the radius of gyration Rg, the second virial coefficient A2 and the molecular weight Mw of polymers, together with the form and structure factor of colloids, we use two dedicated SLS machines from Sofica (modified by SLS Systemtechnik). The measurement of the refractive index increment is carried out by a special refractometer from SLS Systemtechnik.
