  • 1983 diploma thesis with Prof. Dr. H. Bertagnolli at the Institute of Physical Chemistry at  the Julius-Maximilians-University with the topic "Geometric and statistical-mechanical model calculations on the molecular liquid chloroforme"
  • 1987 Ph.D. thesis with Prof. Dr. H. Bertagnolli at the Institute of Physical Chemistry at the Julius-Maximilians-University with the topic "Intermolecular interactions and short range order in the binary liquid mixture of benzene and hexafluorobenzene. A Study with X-ray and neutron scattering experiments and statistical-mechanical model calculations"
  • 1988-1991 Research associate at the Institute of Physical Chemistry at the Johannes-Gutenberg-University Mainz with Prof. Dr. H. Sillescu; neutron scattering experiments on super-cooled liquids and the glass transition.
